John Deere has updated the popular Select Series™ and Signature Series ride-on mower ranges with new decks, improved instrument displays and an all-new model added, to mow well and mow fast.
Both ride-on mower lines offer the new Accel Deep™ deck for a cleaner, faster cut and added versatility. The flat-top design, available in 107 cm (42 in.), 122 cm (48 in.) and 137 cm (54 in.) widths, enables a clean flow of material throughout the deck and discharge area, whilst maintaining speed for cutting and processing incoming grass. Additionally, lift-up spindle covers make servicing and cleaning easy and accessible.
“The new Accel Deep deck lets John Deere customers quickly mow their lawn and get great results,” said Kim Ridel, tactical marketing manager, John Deere. “It’s not how fast you mow, it’s how well you mow fast.”
The Accel Deep deck is also compatible with the innovative MulchControl™ kit. MulchControl allows operators to quickly switch between side-discharge and mulching with just a flip of a lever. Mulching returns finely cut clippings to the soil as a beneficial natural fertiliser that will potentially enhance lawn health.
All models have been updated with a new electronic instrument display. The automotive-style display is backlit for night visibility, and bright caution and stop lights will indicate an engaged PTO, disengaged park brake or incorrect start sequence. Once on the move, a tachometer helps homeowners mow at the optimum throttle setting for the best and quickest quality cut. When servicing is required, on-board diagnostics provide trained technicians with instant insights, saving time and money on repairs and maintenance.
The all-new X394 has also been added to the Select Series line. For homeowners looking for more comfort and convenience, the X394 is the first model in the X300 Series to offer power lift, power steer and four-wheel steering all in one. Powered by a 16.4 kW (22 hp) Kawasaki FS engine, it features a 122 cm (48 in.) Accel Deep deck. The model offers ease of operation, with significant power, making it easy to mow at faster speeds and retain a quality cut.
The John Deere X700 Signature Series models have also been updated with even more added features, such as a premium electronic display, back lit for night visibility. In addition to the 137 cm (54 in.) and 152 cm (60 in.) high-capacity decks, the X700s are now also compatible with the 122 cm (48 in.) Accel Deep deck, ensuring a quick, high-quality cut every time.
