A Mid-West builder was recognised amongst the best in the state at the recent Western Australia HIA Housing Awards.
Carnarvon based builder Northern Aspect Construction took out two awards at the 2017 HIA – CSR Western Australian Housing Awards, which showcased the best building projects from regional and metropolitan WA.
The builder won WA Affordable Housing Project of the Year, for the 15 multi-unit development utilising diverse materials, colours and irregular shapes to blend with the surrounds. The award winning project was designed to support aging in place and solar passive design elements.
HIA judges commended Northern Aspect Construction’s ability for building such a large scale development in a suburban street, which was pleasing to the eye.
The family owned business Northern Aspect Construction were also joint winners of the Excellence in Service – Small Builder (under ten building starts per year in the Mid West Region).
The Excellence in Service award is judged on client’s feedback on all areas of customer satisfaction of the Builder throughout the build process.
HIA Executive Director John Gelavis believes having regional builders take out these highly sort after WA awards is an endorsement of the quality of the industry in Regional WA.
“It is great to see outstanding projects being built in Regional WA, competing strongly against what is being built in the Perth metropolitan area,” Mr Gelavis said.
