The evolution of Walters Fencing began in 1992 near Tamworth NSW with Steve and Narelle Walters working with the traditional tools of the trade such as the crow bar and shovel, and driving posts into the ground by manual means.
Over time, new and improved systems were introduced to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the business.
Implementing the use of a hydraulic post driver, a ‘build-as-you-go’ fencing trailer, custom built wire winders and custom built wire spinners not only drastically reduced the manual labour involved in fence construction, it resulted in tremendously increased efficiency and hastened project completion times.
And the crow bars can (thankfully) stay in the shed.
As the business grew, Steve realised that other contractors and farmers had the same needs for specialised equipment that was not commercially available.
We started to refine and manufacture the braked wire spinners, post racks, and wire winders that were previously made for our own use.
Today, Walters Fencing has an expanding team which enables concurrent fencing projects to be underway, in conjunction with the engineering, development and manufacture of specialised fencing equipment at our factory outside of Tamworth.
Our products are used in every state and territory in Australia with a growing loyal base of customers.
